This is me and my crew! Belle (Pitbull), Shorty (Chihuahua-Min Pin), Misty (black fluffy kitty), and Tuna (gray kitty). They are the heart and soul of the business, and the reason I do what I do.

I've always been an animal lover, and grew up in a household with a lot of pets - dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and hamsters. So I have plenty of hands-on experience with a wide variety of furry family members! I also worked for a pet sitting company for five years and between the dog daycare, continual training on dog body language, and working on a daily basis with experienced trainers, was able to widely expand my knowledge base.

I adopted Belle in 2009, and in 2014 she was diagnosed with cerebral cortical denegeration. This condition causes no pain, but does affect her motor skills. Because of this, she stumbles a lot when she walks, so she needs special equipment to make her life easier, including a harness with a handle on it, and a wagon for longer jaunts because she gets tired quickly. She also eats her breakfast and dinner off of a fork! (It's adorable, but has the primary benefit of being much less messy than if she ate out of a bowl.)

The level of care she requires means I've had to be extremely picky about anyone taking care of her, because an injury that would be no big deal for another dog would be much more serious for her. Whenever I've left her in someone's care, she comes with a long list of instructions. Because of this, I am meticulous about doing exactly what is asked when taking care of your pets.

Belle is the reason I started Belle's Blue Chip Pet Care. Because I want to provide you with the premium quality care that I've asked of anyone who has ever taken care of her. In the business world, a "blue-chip" company is one that not only provides high quality service, but weathers the storm and comes through stronger.
